About me
I am most happy when I paint!
Trained as an interior designer, I have always sketched, drawn, selected colours, etc. but my dream was to paint.
A family move from Montreal to Calgary opened doors for me. It gave me time to paint and pursue my dream. I played with watercolours, acrylics and oil and for a long while my paintings were representational. In the past year I have taken a different direction: abstract! In has brought me so much JOY because I feel totally free. I respond to my marks and I explore different techniques and materials. I can push a painting to the edge and I can bring it back if need be. That feeling of control is so liberating. As a result, my paintings have become more authentic, like a window into my soul.
